I will forever hold dear to me the awesome way in which Grandpa made every person feel special, including me. Through spiritual strength, this was a man who knew how to work, lead, follow and play well.
I will always remember the french toast feast he would make for me and the other mission campers! And I will never forget how he willingly and playfully drove the get-away car in a prank we played against the boys one summer! Although it's through my tears, I smile when I think of Grandpa. I can't wait until we meet again!

All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Josh's Grandfather passed away on the 7th of October, so our sympathy is more heart felt than you know. My arms ache to wrap around you to let you know that you are very loved and missed.

Grandpa,
I miss you deeply with all of my heart. Things aren't the same and never are when someone who has impacted your life so much leaves their earthly home. I will miss your slobbery kisses, watching you studying God's Word, getting your groove on to my music and your hugs. If you want me to I will finish painting the mural for you in the bathroom (like the big blue sky with clouds, grass, flowers, and butterflies). Thank you for always caring and for being there for me when I needed someone. You've always set a fatherly example even though you will always be my Grandpa. Thank you for sharing your love for Christ with me and so many others. I love you.

Grandaddy,
I will forever miss you and the way you always asked if I wanted a little coffee with my sugar and milk. You were the one I called upon when I was confused or didn't understand teachings in the bible. One of my favorite memories is when I was a child visiting you and Grandmother in Orange. While everyone was sitting around talking you looked at me and popped your teeth out for me and made me laugh.I know I'm not your only grandchild but you always made me feel like I was the only one. As I remember the last family morning prayer that I was home for and remember you saying prayer with us,it is deep in that thought that I find you. I know you have taught me all that God wanted me to learn from you. I'm very thankful to have been your Grandaughter, I will meet you again soon, but until then know that I love you Grandaddy. Poppa,
I'm not sure of what to say to you, or how to say goodbye. You weren't supposed to grow old and get sick. You were supposed to live on forever and be there for us always. I don't think any of us were ready to lose you.
You taught us how to love and serve. You taught us about faith. You gave us all the stongest foundation anyone could have and then showed us how to build on it.
Thank you for being everybody's Grandpa. You never complained when you couldn't find your favorite shirt because one of my friends raided your closet. I never heard you fuss when your meals were cut short because Jaxon ate the rest. You have always been a father to the fatherless and taught more than your share what family is really supposed to be like.
My prayer is that, when I grow old, my children, their children, and all of the friends we've picked up along the way, will look at me the way everyone you left behind looks at you. I am proud to be your granddaughter, and hope to make you as proud of how I grow as I am of you. I love you.
